Schiff streams Beethoven

András Schiff's performance of Beethoven's last three piano sonatas – No. 30 in E major, Op. 109; No. 31 in A flat major, Op. 110; and No. 32 in C minor, Op. 111 – will be streamed by NPR live from Los Angeles' Disney Hall tonight at 11 (Eastern time):

The pianist's lecture-demonstrations on all 32 Beethoven sonatas are available as mp3 dowloads from the Web site of The Guardian:

UPDATE: Very intense performances in a very live space, excellently captured. NPR Music will archive this program, and it's well worth (re)visiting when you have 90 minutes to devote to an absorbing musical experience.
