Concerto No. 2 in C minor with the University of Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Alexander Kordzaia conducting, on April 8 at UR’s Modlin Arts Center. While discussing the concerto and the young pianist’s musical activities and aspirations, we’ll sample Rachmaninoff’s Rachmaninoff: two of his 1919 Ampico piano rolls in digital realizations and his celebrated 1929 recording of the Second Piano Concerto with Leopold Stokowski and the Philadelphia Orchestra.March 19
