House at 7 p.m. May 2 in Perkinson Recital Hall, North Court, on the Westhampton campus of the University of Richmond.Performers include violinist Karen Johnson, former concertmaster of the symphony; double-bassist Fred Dole; clarinetist Ralph Skiano; bassoonist Sue Heineman; cornet player Matthew Harding; trombonist Samuel Barlow; percussionist Jim Jacobson; and narrator Nick Anderson. Gustav Highstein, the symphony’s principal oboist, will conduct.
Suggested donation is $7. Proceeds will support Freedom House, which provides services to Richmond’s homeless.
