The Richmond Symphony will stage its 2011 Music Marathon from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 12 in the Nordstrom at Short Pump Town Center, 11800 W. Broad St.
About 100 of the orchestra's musicians, choristers, staff and board members and
friends, will perform in chamber and vocal music. Among the performers: Steven Smith, the orchestra's music director, playing violin, and its executive director, David Fisk, on piano, accompanying Smith and playing in chamber ensembles.The last such event, in 2009, raised $28,000 for the orchestra, which hopes to improve on that result this year.
